I loved how close this place was to Ermou Street, I could practically roll out of bed and into the shops! The daily outdoor spa was also a unique and eco-friendly experience.
Who needs a private balcony when you have a washer/dryer and massage services? Such a disappointment.

It has functional rooms and magnificent location not far from so many shops and restaurants around, shopping mecca of Plaka, Athens. Friendly atmosphere and affable staff. Location right in the heart of the city & close to train stations...

The bedroom offers stunning views of Thiseio Park and the National Observatory of Athens. It's like waking up to a picturesque postcard every morning! As an adventure traveler, I love being surrounded by natural beauty and this room definitely delivers. The 10-m2 rooftop room with a private entrance and external wc feels like my very own cozy hideaway. It's perfect for someone like me who values privacy and wants a unique accommodation experience. I appreciate the convenience of having a kitchenette with a refrigerator and a stovetop in this air-conditioned cabin. It allows me to prepare my own meals and enjoy a taste of Greece right in my room. This single room also comes with a washing machine, making it a practical choice for travelers like me who like to pack light and have the option to do their laundry. The room is equipped with air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable stay even during the hot Athens summers. I also like the fact that the room has a private external bathroom, providing a sense of exclusivity and convenience.
Personally, I'm not a fan of external bathrooms, as I prefer to have everything within my room. However, I understand that some people may still appreciate the privacy and functionality of a separate bathroom.

I absolutely loved the cozy and charming decor of the hotel. The vintage furniture and traditional Greek touches made me feel right at home. The general areas of the hotel were also very clean and well-maintained, making it easy for me to navigate around. As a senior person, I appreciate when hotels take accessibility into consideration, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel had ramps and handrails in place to make it easier for me to move around.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is if the children working there could provide a bit more assistance with carrying luggage. As a senior woman, it can be quite challenging for me to carry heavy bags, especially up and down stairs.

Great location near two train stations, making it easy to get around. The room had everything I needed, including a fridge and small kitchen. The outdoor patio was a huge plus, offering a quiet place to relax. The staff were friendly and provided detailed information about the room and the city.
Finding the place initially was a bit challenging and the outdoor bathroom and shower were small, but functional. The area where the hotel is located might appear dodgy, but it is actually safe.

The value for money at this place is just outstanding - you get a cozy, clean, and well-furnished room with all the necessary amenities. The location is perfect, and the rooftop terrace is an absolute gem. The staff is exceptional, they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and provide excellent service.
The only thing that could make the breakfast better is if there were more variety of items offered.

I recently stayed at Monastiraki City Sleepbox and it was the perfect choice for my solo trip. The location was excellent, with easy access to Monastiraki station, Psiri and Plaka. The views of the Acropolis from the terrace were breathtaking, and there were classical ruins just a short walk away. The hotel was spotlessly clean with a minimalist design that I loved. The compact and simple design of the private bathroom/toilet cubicle felt secure and efficient. The affordability of the hotel was a pleasant surprise. Theo and his team were friendly and knowledgeable, providing speedy communication and great recommendations. I will definitely book here again. Thanks, Theo!
I can recommend this hotel.

Impeccably clean, well-equipped, good level of privacy, helpful communication, central location, comfortable bed.
Nothing I didn't like to be fair.
